Hope for the Hopeless

Do you ever just feel like you have no more hope? No more drive or motivation? Maybe even to the degree where you feel like you have nothing worth waking up for?
This past year was not the best for my family. Nothing went horribly wrong and most people would still probably think our life was great, but for us, it wasn't the best. We had started to lose our hope. We had become complacent in our situation and the future wasn't looking too exciting. We thought we knew what our future was going to look like... turns out God had different plans.
In October, God opened our eyes to a totally different plan for what our future would hold and we began to change our plans. Our excitement started to grow as His plan for us became clearer and clearer. Now it's January, and we are beyond excited. We have more hope and excitement for the future than ever before. God gave us our hope back, and way more then He ever had given us before!
Living with no hope is one of the saddest and scariest things you can do. But the good news is, we have hope. Hope came down from heaven for us and died a criminal's death. We have the greatest sense of hope that anyone could ever have.
No matter what your circumstances, whether you feel hopeless or full of hope, remember that God can give you hope in the blink of an eye. Psalm 34:4-5 says, "I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me;he freed me from all my fears. The oppressed look to him and are glad; they will never be disappointed."
We have a hope greater then everyone else. We have Jesus Christ and He's the greatest hope ever. That hope will set us apart. Romans 12:12 says,"Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times."
So go out this week, remembering that we have the greatest hope ever. Live like you have that hope, because you do!
