Fearlessly Loved

In a world full of haters and defensive Facebook commenters, many fear. We fear standing out even when it is for what we believe in. We fear becoming the "odd one out." Most of our fears are deeply rooted in the overarching fear of being alone. In turn, we cling to the world around us. The meaningless things that give us temporary happiness. Savannah and I strive to live fearlessly because nothing in this world can hold us back as we run full force towards Christ. Living fearlessly doesn't mean we aren't afraid. Believe me; we have many fears some logical and some very silly but very real. As you continue to follow us and read this blog, you'll realize that we have fears and we fail often. To live fearlessly isn't living without fear but putting all of our trust in the only one who can conquer our fears, Jesus. We are fearless because we are loved, and we are loved fearlessly. Not only do we desire to be fearless we strive to spread love to everyone we meet. We love because our Jesus first loved us. To us, this is a challenge to take up our crosses daily and share the love that fills us with everyone from our family to complete strangers. Ultimately from our post, we want to share our adventures of life, and share all that comes to our hearts. You'll see our greatest fears, and you'll hear the depths of our hearts. More than anything we pray you are encouraged to chase Christ fearlessly, filled with the desire to love all those whom you cross paths with, and you know just how fearlessly you are loved.
As you read this blog and continue to get to know Savannah and I you may begin to wonder what is our story? We met on a mission trip to Eleuthera and bonded while we got to serve a beautiful Haitian community called Blackwood. Little did we know that God was only starting our little sisterhood. Once arriving home, we decided to read through Luke together later that turned into coloring and reading through the whole Bible together. We aren't any ordinary best friends; we live hundreds of miles apart. That doesn't stop us from being the sisters we both always dreamed of having.

Another common theme you see on our blog is “iron sharpens iron.” We chose this to be the motto for our blog because we think it is so important to surround yourselves with the type of people that make you a better person. The kind of people that make you strive to be the best version of yourself. The type of people that encourage you, but you encourage them too.
Elizabeth and I have the type of relationship where we constantly encourage each other and hold each other accountable for everything going on in our lives. It is such a blessing to have someone who pours into me and keeps me pointed to God. Not only does she pour into me, but I pour into her. It’s an equally yoked relationship. This phrase comes straight out of the Bible in Proverbs 27:17. God tells all of us that ‘Iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” We want to encourage all of you to sharpen each other and keep each other accountable as we strive to strengthen the body of Christ. Through this blog, we want to instill that in all of you and encourage you in such ways.
Those are our goals throughout this blog: to help you to live fearlessly and live knowing that you are SO loved. But also live in such a way that you surround yourselves with people that sharpen you and that you can sharpen as well. Elizabeth and I are praying for this blog and journey as we see where God wants to lead us throughout this experience. We would also like to pray for you specifically and individually so contact us anytime via the about page. We pray that this blog would encourage and remind you of your worth, how much God loves you and what it’s like to live fearlessly. Thank you for embarking on this journey with two long-distance best friends whose hearts are on fire for Him.
